The federal, state, and local governments of Nigeria have divided a total of N2.550 trillion in revenue collected during June 2026. Bawa Mokwa, the director at the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, confirmed the figures following the July Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) session in Abuja.
This total distribution includes N1.809 trillion from statutory revenue and N740.724 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT). According to the official communiqué, the gross revenue reached N4.500 trillion for the month, with deductions for collections, transfers, and refunds totaling N1.949 trillion.
Statutory revenue for June hit N3.700 trillion, marking a notable increase of N1.049 trillion compared to May. Similarly, VAT revenue saw a rise of N56.078 billion, reaching N799.746 billion. Out of the final distributable pool, the federal government was allocated N923.438 billion, states received N838.208 billion, and local councils were granted N591.390 billion. Additionally, N197.610 billion was disbursed to oil-producing states as 13% derivation revenue.
Various revenue streams including Companies Income Tax, Petroleum Royalties, and Import Duties recorded significant growth. Conversely, Petroleum Profit Tax, Hydrocarbon Tax, and mineral royalties saw a reduction, while excise duties experienced only a slight rise.
