Jigawa Police Secure UTME Centers for 2026 Exams
The Jigawa State Police Command has stationed security personnel at all authorized testing sites to guarantee that the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) proceeds without disruption.
SP Shiisu Lawan Adam, the police spokesperson, confirmed that this initiative follows instructions from Commissioner of Police Haruna A. Yahaya.
This strategy aligns with mandates from Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu, emphasizing the force’s role in safeguarding lives and fostering educational progress.
Security measures involve a mix of uniformed officers, undercover agents, and intelligence specialists tasked with preserving order, preventing examination malpractice, and addressing potential threats.
The command has also bolstered surveillance and patrol operations around testing venues to keep criminal elements at bay and ensure smooth movement for both students and staff.
Authorities have urged students, parents, and guardians to follow official exam protocols, cooperate with officers, and inform the police of any suspicious behavior. Commissioner Yahaya expressed his dedication to state-wide security and offered his best wishes to all participating candidates.
