Beijing-based e-commerce leader Guazi is opening its inspection-backed vehicle sourcing services to international buyers and dealerships. The expansion targets regions including Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe, providing these markets with access to a digitized car-buying process previously available only in China.
Founded in 2015, Guazi has facilitated over 3 million transactions by leveraging a massive database of more than 30 million vehicle inspections across 200 Chinese cities. The core of their service relies on condition transparency, where every vehicle undergoes a multi-point inspection before appearing on the platform. These reports, combined with high-quality photos and videos, allow remote buyers to evaluate potential purchases with confidence.
The company supports various business models for its international clients, ranging from auctions to fixed free-on-board (FOB) pricing. By utilizing big data and AI, Guazi helps users identify quality vehicles, including a growing inventory of electric and hybrid models. To ensure a smooth process, Guazi is establishing local operations, such as their direct team in Ghana and a formal partnership with AIG in Georgia, to handle logistics, documentation, and communication.
Company spokesperson Li Yang noted that the goal is to deepen local partnerships and streamline the evaluation process for international dealers. Whether buyers are looking for sedans or modern EVs, Guazi provides a structured environment that aims to bring clarity and trust to cross-border used vehicle transactions.
