Group pairings announced for 2026 NWFL Nationwide Championship

Twelve clubs have been sorted into four groups for the 2026 NWFL Nationwide Championship in Aba, with two promotion spots at stake for the 2027 season.

Twelve teams have been officially divided into four distinct groups for the upcoming 2026 Nigeria Women Football League Nationwide Championship. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Aba, starting on August 15 and concluding on August 23.

By the end of the competition, two successful clubs will earn promotion into the 2027 NWFL Championship. This event functions as the third tier of the national women’s football structure, providing a critical development path toward the higher divisions.

The group stage alignments are as follows: Group A contains Kwara United Queens, Solo Wonders Babes, and Spunky Blazers FA. Group B includes C2E Sports Academy, Bayelsa Princesses, and Lakeside Queens. Group C features Onimarg FC, Ubakala Babes, and NAF Queens of FCT. Finally, Group D consists of Plateau United Queens, Obosa Football Academy, and Osklean FC.
