Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu has authorized a series of new administrative appointments, naming six special advisers, three senior special assistants, and five permanent secretaries. One of the permanent secretary positions will be held in an acting capacity.
These updates were confirmed through an official statement released by Abubakar Bawa, the Director-General of Media and Publicity for the Sokoto Government House. The administration specified that these changes are effective immediately.
The newly appointed special advisers include Garba Muhammad Sabon Birni, Mukhtari Bello Abdurrahman, Shi’itu M. Bello, Alhaji Tukur Sanyinna, Alhaji Abdullahi Jabo, and Mamman Aliyu Salisu. For the role of senior special assistants, the governor selected Jummai Bello Kware, Nana Mamman Nasarawa, and Emmanuel Ekereke.
Furthermore, the state government confirmed the selection of Buhari Umar, Abdullahi B. Muhammad, Musa Muhammad, and Jibril Sa’adu as permanent secretaries. Aliyu Magaji has been designated as the acting permanent secretary to round out the new appointments.
