Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State, has officially thanked Inspector General of Police Tunji Disu for quickly dispatching a police aircraft to boost local security measures.
This deployment follows a formal request by the Governor aimed at bolstering the state’s defense against criminal activity and banditry. The Inspector General granted the request without delay.
Tokunbo Talabi, the Secretary to the State Government, welcomed the aircraft and its flight crew. He conveyed the Governor’s gratitude for the swift action and the police force’s focus on maintaining public safety.
According to Talabi, the aircraft will improve intelligence gathering and aerial monitoring, making security responses faster and more effective throughout the state. This move highlights the solid working relationship between the state administration and law enforcement.
The asset will be utilized in Operation Kosaye, a security initiative designed to remove kidnappers and other criminals from rural areas and forests. Governor Abiodun reiterated that his administration remains dedicated to funding security operations that promote stability and economic growth.
