Global iPhone Pricing: A Look at the Most Expensive Markets

A study by Deutsche Bank highlights the top 10 countries where the iPhone 17 Pro is most expensive, with Türkiye topping the list at more than double the U.S. retail price.

Although Apple offers identical iPhone models globally, the retail cost fluctuates dramatically based on geographical location. For the iPhone 17 Pro with 256GB of storage, costs are influenced by regional taxes, import tariffs, shifting exchange rates, and local laws.

Research from Deutsche Bank’s 2026 global price analysis indicates that Türkiye is the priciest destination among 41 surveyed nations. At $2,592, the device costs more than double its $1,181 price tag in the United States. Brazil follows in second place at $2,260, while Egypt ranks third at $1,872. The remaining top 10 most expensive markets for this model include Hungary ($1,826), Norway ($1,687), Mexico ($1,657), Sweden ($1,601), Poland ($1,588), Czechia ($1,585), and Finland ($1,578).

These figures demonstrate that consumers in many parts of the world pay a significant premium—often exceeding 130% of the U.S. base price—to acquire the latest technology due to various economic and administrative factors specific to each country.
