Renowned Nigerian filmmaker Funke Akindele has scheduled the nationwide cinema release of her latest project, The Four, for December 11, 2026. This announcement marks her return to the big screen following the record-breaking success of A Tribe Called Judah in 2023.
Akindele has cultivated a tradition of launching major films during the holiday season, consistently drawing large crowds. Her previous work, A Tribe Called Judah, achieved historic status as the highest-grossing Nollywood film, accumulating over ₦1.4 billion in box office revenue.
The cast for The Four features a diverse ensemble, including four former Big Brother Naija housemates alongside established musicians and actors.
