Former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has died. The announcement was made on X by his former aide, Bashir Ahmad. 2025 Sow Fitt

”INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHIR RAJI’UN.

The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London.

May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin.” Bashir wrote.

Former President Buhari was 82 years old. He is survived by his wife, Aisha, and their children. He assumed office in 2015 and concluded his tenure in 2023, handing over to President Tinubu.

May his soul rest in peace.
