FG Launches Youth Confab Portal
The Federal Government has officially launched a digital portal for the upcoming Nigeria Youth Conference, also known as the National Youth Confab, aimed at involving young Nigerians in policy development and nation-building.
Youth Development Minister Ayode Olawande announced the launch on Monday, describing the initiative as more than just an event, calling it “a generational turning point, a national movement, and a call to action.”
President Bola Tinubu first introduced the idea during his Independence Day address on October 1, 2024, with the Confab originally scheduled for February 2025. A 44-member planning committee was later inaugurated on March 10, 2025.
Themed “Next Gen Nigeria: Crafting Solutions, Owning the Future,” the Confab is set to be inclusive, non-partisan, and youth-led. The newly launched portal will allow youth delegates to register, submit ideas, and access updates throughout the process.
Participation will occur at multiple levels—starting from local consultations across the 360 federal constituencies, through to zonal discussions in six states, and culminating in a national gathering in Abuja.
