“Even though my people are now in love with their oppressor, this day will never be forgotten” – Mr Macaroni Writes As He Remembers Lekki Tollgate Incident On #EndSARS Anniversary

Skitmaker and actor Mr Macaroni has taken to social media to reflect on the tragic events at the Lekki-Ikoyi tollgate during the #EndSARS protest on October 20, 2020.

On that day, Nigerians had gathered at the tollgate and other locations nationwide to protest against police brutality and demand the disbandment of rogue officers. Security forces later arrived at the tollgate and opened fire to disperse demonstrators.

While protesters have continued to maintain that lives were lost during the incident, the government has repeatedly denied claims of casualties.

In a post shared on his Instagram page this morning, Mr Macaroni  wrote;

‘’Nigerian Youths lost their lives, jobs, families and dreams at the hands of the most corrupt and evil People we call Leaders!!!

Even though my people are now in love with their Oppressors, this day 20/10/2020 is never to be forgotten nor forgiven! ‘’
