The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has scheduled the 21st Abuja International Trade Fair (AITF) for September 25 through October 6, 2026. This upcoming event aims to bolster trade, draw in new investments, and host critical discussions regarding taxation and the broader national economy.
Acting as a vital hub for investors, policymakers, and corporate leaders, the fair is designed to facilitate collaboration on current economic hurdles and highlight new innovations. Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, the ACCI’s First Deputy President and chairman for this event, stated that the 2026 edition represents a significant step in the chamber’s mission to advance economic cooperation and business development within Nigeria.
With the theme “Resilience: Trade, Taxation and the Economy,” the fair directly addresses issues such as inflation, shifting tax policies, currency fluctuations, and supply chain instability. Prof. Adesugba emphasized that the event will offer a strategic space for businesses to address these pressures through dialogue and networking. The goal is to foster B2B and B2G connections while advocating for private sector needs.
Projections for the 12-day event include more than 500 exhibitors showcasing upwards of 10,000 products, with an expected turnout of 100,000 visitors, including international diplomats and various industry stakeholders. ACCI Director General Agabaidu Jideani echoed these sentiments, noting that the chamber is dedicated to simplifying the business landscape and increasing Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global market.
