Donald Duke, the Peoples Redemption Party presidential candidate, has warned that Nigeria is on a dangerous path that necessitates immediate action to prevent a catastrophe by 2027. Speaking during an interview on Arise Television, the former Cross River State Governor emphasized that he re-entered the political arena due to the critical state of the nation.
Duke expressed dissatisfaction with the current administration’s failure to resolve systemic problems, noting that the leadership, which includes his contemporaries from the class of 1999, is not steering the country in the right direction. He challenged the opposition parties to unify their efforts to alter the nation’s course.
Highlighting the importance of active participation over passive observation, Duke argued that the country’s trajectory is unsustainable. He urged leaders and citizens alike to recognize the gravity of the situation and engage in meaningful change to avoid disaster.
