Tensions flared in Ibadan on Thursday when dissatisfied All Progressives Congress (APC) members stormed the party’s state office in Oke Ado, forcing aspirants and leadership to flee. Security personnel were eventually required to regain control of the location.
Party Publicity Secretary Olawale Sadare issued a statement criticizing the violence, claiming the agitators arrived in large numbers equipped with weapons and charms. According to Sadare, the group targeted both staff and executive committee members during the two-hour disturbance.
The physical confrontation resulted in significant property damage. The facility’s windows and doors were smashed, and several personal vehicles parked on the premises suffered broken windshields and punctured tires.
