Buhari To Be Laid To Rest In Daura On Monday
Former President Muhammadu Buhari will be laid to rest today, July 14, in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, in line with Islamic burial rites.
He passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, at a clinic in London where he had been receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.
President Bola Tinubu has sent Vice President Kashim Shettima to London to accompany Buhari’s remains back to Nigeria for burial.
His body is expected to arrive in the country early Monday before being flown to Daura for the final rites.
