Bode George, the former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stated on Tuesday that the political organization is not owned by any single person. He emphasized that the PDP should not be treated like a private business where major financial contributors attempt to control the party’s direction.
During an appearance on Channels Television’s Morning Brief, George warned members against working against the established party constitution. He criticized those who believe that providing funding grants them authority superior to the party leadership. According to the PDP chieftain, some members have disregarded the party’s foundational rules, which has ultimately caused internal damage.
George remarked that no individual has the right to claim ownership of the party, noting that such behavior undermines the party’s structure. He insisted that once standards are established, all members must adhere to them rather than orchestrating internal conflicts that weaken the organization.
