Bishop Oyedepo Tells Followers to Provide His Number to Abductors

Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, has instructed his congregants to share his personal contact information with anyone who kidnaps them.

During a recent sermon at the church’s Canaanland headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, the cleric asserted that he holds the spiritual mandate to secure their liberation.

A recording of the address surfaced online on Thursday. In it, Oyedepo referenced two instances where divine intervention supposedly resolved kidnapping cases involving his members.

In one scenario, he claimed to have successfully pressured an abductor into releasing a church pastor by threatening the perpetrator with death within a day.

The bishop recounted another instance where a female follower escaped capture after declaring her freedom by 7 a.m. according to his teachings, even though he had not personally contacted the kidnappers.

In that situation, he stated the abductors began inflicting injuries on themselves before ultimately letting her go.

Encouraging his congregation, Oyedepo emphasized that they possess a comparable spiritual influence. He urged them to recognize and utilize this power to overcome adversity, asserting that the church should remain superior to such threats.
