Bill Gates To Testify in Jeffrey Epstein Investigation
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is set to provide testimony before the House Oversight Committee on June 10, 2026, as part of an expansive federal inquiry into the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The interview, which will be conducted behind closed doors and transcribed, follows a subpoena-driven effort to understand the extent of Epstein’s financial and social networks.
Gates, who has publicly expressed regret over his past meetings with Epstein, has maintained that their interactions were focused on philanthropic initiatives.
A spokesperson for Gates confirmed he intends to cooperate fully with the committee’s questions.
The scheduled testimony follows the release of a massive trove of documents—totaling nearly three million pages—that detailed communications and travel logs linking numerous high-profile figures to Epstein.
While being named in the files does not imply criminal activity, the committee remains focused on why figures of Gates’ stature continued to associate with Epstein after his 2008 conviction.
The personal fallout from the document release has also continued, with Melinda French Gates recently remarking that any remaining questions regarding the nature of those associations should be addressed directly by her ex-husband.
In a related shift, the committee’s April 14 deposition of former Attorney General Pam Bondi has been postponed following her recent departure from office.
The Department of Justice currently argues that her subpoena is no longer binding in a personal capacity, though Democratic members of the committee, led by Representative Robert Garcia, have threatened contempt charges if a new date is not promptly established.
The House Oversight Committee has maintained a rigorous schedule for the coming months, with several other major figures expected to testify:
-
Ted Waitt: Co-founder of Gateway, scheduled for April 30.
-
Howard Lutnick: U.S. Commerce Secretary, scheduled for May 6.
-
Tova Noel: The correctional officer on duty at the time of Epstein’s death, scheduled for May 18.
-
Lesley Groff: Epstein’s former executive assistant, scheduled for June 9.
These upcoming sessions follow previous testimonies from former government officials and public figures as investigators seek to resolve lingering questions regarding Epstein’s trafficking operations and the lack of subsequent prosecutions.
