Amaechi Urges Bwala to Recall Private Conversation

Rotimi Amaechi has challenged presidential aide Daniel Bwala to honor a past private conversation, while warning that he is prepared to retaliate against political attacks.

Former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi has publicly called on Daniel Bwala, an aide to President Bola Tinubu, to remember the contents of a private discussion they shared. This exchange occurred shortly after Bwala severed ties with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

During a Tuesday appearance on the Channels Television program Politics Today, Amaechi addressed the ongoing dispute involving Cardinal John Onaiyekan. While the former Rivers State governor declined to reveal specific details regarding his talk with Bwala, he insisted that the aide is well aware of what was said. Amaechi stated that he intends to uphold the confidentiality of that private interaction unless Bwala chooses to challenge him directly.

Furthermore, Amaechi issued a stern warning regarding the political climate. He noted that he and his associates are fully prepared to retaliate against any personal attacks. He emphasized that if the current administration intends to lower the standards of political discourse, his group is ready to engage at that same level.
