Alavin Recants Viral Accusation Against Wizkid Associate Godson

Emmanuel Jakpa, known as Alavin, has retracted a viral video accusing Wizkid associate Godson of fraud, labeling the claims as false and citing personal vendettas behind their distribution.

Emmanuel Jakpa, widely known as Alavin, has formally pulled back a widely shared video involving businessman Uyi Godson Agho, also known as Godson. He is now requesting that the public ignore the claims made in that footage.

This retraction arrives shortly after Godson, a known associate of music artist Wizkid, publicly refuted claims that he swindled influencer Clement Akpobome Ogudu, or IsokoBoy, out of N100 million. Godson maintains the dispute was merely a commercial disagreement.

In a fresh statement issued this past Sunday, Alavin admitted that his previous recording from June 28, 2026, was inaccurate. He explicitly asked the public to disregard the material currently being circulated by an individual named Mr. Richie.

Alavin suggested that Richie is promoting the old video due to a personal grudge against Godson rather than any factual basis. He stressed that his current message was shared willingly and that he remains on good terms with Godson.

Prior to this, Godson filed a formal petition with the Lagos State Commissioner of Police via his attorney, C. C. Ezenwa. In this filing, he clarified that the conflict stemmed from a garment business worth approximately N320 million. He further claimed that IsokoBoy and Alavin had visited his home, filmed him in a vulnerable state, and uploaded the media with false allegations of fraud.
