The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has placed Nollywood actress Shirley Igwe on indefinite suspension following allegations that she physically assaulted a crew member on a film set.

According to a report by TVC, Igwe is accused of slapping a member of the Creative Designers Guild of Nigeria (CDGN) during a production, leading to immediate disciplinary measures by the AGN.

In a formal statement sent to both national leaders and state chapter chairmen, the Guild announced Igwe’s suspension, citing her actions as “violent and undisciplined behavior capable of bringing the acting profession into disrepute.”

The AGN also instructed its members to refrain from participating in any film projects involving Igwe until the ongoing investigation is concluded.
