Members of Operation WHIRL STROKE joined forces with the Benue State Civil Protection Guards to save a kidnap victim during an urgent operation in the Katsina-Ala Local Government Area. Security insiders informed Zagazola Makama that the mission took place at approximately 4:00 a.m. on July 8. Soldiers based at Tor-Donga launched the rescue after receiving reliable reports of an abduction within the Igyudu community.
Upon the arrival of the security team, the perpetrators fled into the surrounding woods, leaving their hostage behind. The survivor was promptly transported to a clinic for health evaluation and care. Currently, military forces are actively hunting the escaped suspects to curb criminal activity in the region. This mission is part of a broader strategy by Operation WHIRL STROKE to combat kidnapping and violence throughout Benue and its surrounding areas.
