Oxford United manager Aaron Ramsey remains dedicated to the club following the imposition of a temporary transfer embargo. The EFL restricted the team from signing new players until they adhere to salary cost management protocol (SCMP) rules, just weeks after Ramsey began his tenure.
Although the team faces difficulty adding talent this window, Ramsey told BBC Radio Oxford he expects the issue to be settled before January. He expressed confidence in the current squad, noting their high standards during recent pre-season training in Spain and a 3-1 victory over Aldershot Town.
Ramsey highlighted that the ownership’s desire to keep the existing roster demonstrates a strong commitment to the club’s future. He remains calm regarding the situation and is focused on preparing his players for upcoming friendlies against Barnet, Crawley Town, and Ipswich Town, followed by their League Cup opener against Leyton Orient on August 8.
