Shehu Sani, the former senator representing Kaduna Central, suggested on Thursday that Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State requires a miracle or act of magic to avoid losing the upcoming Saturday governorship election.
Sani attributed his prediction to the disarray within the opposition, contrasting it with a cohesive and powerful All Progressives Congress (APC). He highlighted the role of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, who leads the APC National Campaign Council for the election, as a critical factor in securing an APC win.
In a post on the X platform, the former legislator stated that due to a fractured opposition and the fact that many ADC members share deep ties with the APC, the incumbent governor’s prospects appear bleak. He asserted that without an extraordinary intervention, Uzodinma will successfully reclaim Osun for his party.
The APC has selected Bola Oyebamiji as its candidate for the race as Governor Adeleke, representing the Accord Party, campaigns for a second term. While Adeleke remains confident in his reelection, various APC leaders have publicly predicted his defeat at the polls.
