Osun ADC Refutes Claims of Withdrawal from Governorship Race

The ADC in Osun State has firmly rejected rumors that it is withdrawing from the upcoming governorship election, asserting that its candidate, Dr. Najeem Salaam, is still in the race to win.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Osun State has officially denied rumors suggesting that it plans to withdraw from the upcoming Saturday governorship election. Abosede Oluwaseun, the party spokesperson, dismissed these reports as intentional fabrications designed to mislead voters regarding their candidate, Dr. Najeem Salaam.

The party maintains that it remains fully committed to the race and expects to win. Officials noted that national leaders, including presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and national secretary Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, have actively campaigned in the region to support Dr. Salaam. These efforts, alongside the candidate’s consistent public engagements, demonstrate a clear intent to contest the election.

Addressing the public, the ADC stated that it has no intention of collaborating with or stepping down for any other political entity. They urged supporters to ignore false narratives and cast their votes for Dr. Salaam on Saturday. The party emphasized that anyone interested in their platform is invited to join them, but affirmed that their candidacy is final.
