Osun Gubernatorial Race: Governor Adeleke Questions APC Over Billboard Vandalism

Governor Ademola Adeleke has accused the APC of destroying his campaign billboards while denying claims that he has militarized the electoral process.

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has criticized the All Progressives Party for the reported destruction of his campaign signage. During an Arise Television town hall event for state candidates on Tuesday, the Governor urged the opposition to ensure the upcoming election is transparent and fair.

Adeleke argued that these acts of vandalism have actually strengthened public support for his campaign. He noted that he instructed his followers to refrain from retaliatory actions, stating that their peaceful approach highlights the opposition’s desperation. He characterized the destruction as a misguided propaganda tactic.

Addressing claims of election militarization, the Governor firmly dismissed the accusations. He explained that he lacks the legal authority and command structure to deploy military forces, noting that such powers rest solely with the President and federal security heads.
