Twenty-six-year-old Tamunosoye Karibi-George is currently in Vietnam, competing as Nigeria’s representative in the 73rd Miss World Festival. She secured her spot at the international event after being crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026. The Port Harcourt native, who represented Bayelsa State, triumphed over 19 other competitors during the national pageant held at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos.
A graduate of Madonna University and an associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Karibi-George brings a professional background in communications to the global stage. Her platform, Beyond Labels, focuses on empowering children with special needs and fostering an inclusive society that prioritizes individual potential over limitations.
Before achieving this title, she gained international experience by winning Miss Africa International 2024 in Ghana. She succeeds Joy Mojisola Raimi, who reached the top 20 at the previous year’s competition. Karibi-George has stated that her participation transcends the pursuit of a crown; she views the festival as a chance to spotlight Nigerian culture and amplify her advocacy for children’s rights. As the events proceed, she continues to demonstrate her commitment to social impact while representing her country’s values.
