Upon entering the village, the military unit faced an ambush and returned fire, resulting in the deaths of two assailants.

The captive who was guiding the troops died during the skirmish, though no military personnel suffered injuries. Following the exchange, the troops searched the vicinity and confiscated one AK-47 rifle, a magazine, and two rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.
