A hit-and-run driver is currently being sought by authorities after leaving a pedestrian critically injured near Ketu, heading toward Ojota in Lagos. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed that their personnel responded to the scene over the weekend to assist the victim.
Upon discovery, the individual was found suffering from significant head trauma and numerous fractures. LASTMA officers established traffic control to secure the area and contacted the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS). Emergency responders emphasized that the victim required advanced trauma care due to the severity of the wounds.
LASTMA General Manager, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, denounced the driver for leaving the scene. He noted that motorists are legally and ethically obligated to stop and seek help when involved in collisions. Bakare-Oki urged the public to share any information that might lead to the identification of the runaway driver.
