Cameroonian midfielder Naomi Eto has issued a warning to the Super Falcons of Nigeria as both national teams prepare for their upcoming WAFCON quarter-final match this Sunday. Despite Nigeria entering the game as the clear favorites, Eto noted that the sport remains inherently unpredictable.

While acknowledging the status of the Nigerian side, the 21-year-old athlete praised the team for their established legacy in the African women’s game. According to comments shared on the official CAF website, Eto emphasized that Nigeria commands respect as a powerhouse in the sport. She conceded that Cameroon did not enter the tournament as top contenders, but maintained that surprises are frequent in professional football. She noted that at this specific phase of the tournament, one team must eventually emerge victorious.

Cameroon secured their spot in this round after concluding the group stage as winners of Group D, whereas Nigeria advanced as the runners-up from Group C.
