On August 8, 2026, members of the Delta State Police Command’s Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) took 56-year-old Lucky Oyiboka into custody. The arrest occurred in Owa-Abbi, a community located within the Ukwani Local Government Area.
Acting on specific intelligence, police officers conducted a targeted raid on a property suspected of housing criminal activity. During this search, authorities seized 21 bags of a substance believed to be Indian hemp.
Bright Edafe, the Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State, stated that preliminary findings indicate the suspect was actively distributing illegal drugs.
