Paul Okoye, famously known as Rudeboy, has issued a response to recent statements made by his twin brother, Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P. The claims involved their late mother and Peter’s wife, Lola.
In the eighth installment of his video series regarding the family’s ongoing tensions, Mr P alleged that their mother, Josephine Okoye, and his brothers confronted him and his wife at his Lagos home. He claimed the family meeting was hostile, noting that he and Lola were not welcomed and were forced to sit on the floor. He further alleged that his brother Jude insulted his infant son, causing Lola distress, and that pastors present eventually removed her from the premises.
Mr P also claimed that his brothers opposed Lola’s pregnancy and circulated anonymous messages questioning the child’s paternity. He maintained that their mother eventually confirmed the child’s legitimacy and requested an apology from his siblings, which he asserts never occurred before her passing. Additionally, he defended his wife against rumors of a poor relationship with his mother, stating that Lola cared for her throughout her illness.
Rudeboy addressed the situation through a concise social media update. He wrote, “Unfortunately, you’re not here to defend yourself. Continue resting, Mum.” While he did not detail his rebuttal, the message was interpreted as a defense of his mother’s memory.
This exchange marks a new turn in the long-standing discord between the former members of P-Square, which encompasses various business and personal disputes. While Mr P continues to release allegations through his video series, Jude Okoye has denied the claims, noting that several matters are currently being handled in court. Rudeboy continues to maintain a distance from the public debate, focusing instead on his musical endeavors.
