Governor Ademola Adeleke, the Accord Party candidate for the upcoming August 15 gubernatorial election in Osun State, has made serious claims against the All Progressives Congress (APC). In a message shared on X this Thursday, the governor asserted that APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji and former governor Gboyega Oyetola are retaliating against Osun residents for their 2022 electoral decision.
Adeleke stated that both Oyetola and Oyebamiji have leveraged their federal influence to penalize the populace for supporting his administration. He argued that these actions have negatively impacted the wellbeing of local civil servants, artisans, traders, and the general public.
The governor declared that the impending election represents more than a simple contest. He emphasized that a victory is essential to signal to the APC that the democratic rights of Osun citizens deserve respect and that voters should never face repercussions for their political choices.
