Anthony Adeosun, the spouse of former Nigerian Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun, has passed away at the age of 62. The family confirmed that the businessman died on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Lagos State.
A formal notification regarding the death, titled “Announcement of the passing of Mr Anthony Adeniyi (Niyi) Adeosun,” was released by Rev. C. A. Adeosun. The family remembered him as a dedicated Christian and an accomplished businessman, highlighting his integrity, generosity, and strong faith.
The statement expressed the family’s deep grief while affirming their submission to the will of God. They noted that his legacy was built on hard work, community service, and family devotion. The family is currently seeking strength during this period of mourning.
Funeral and burial arrangements will be disclosed by the family at a later date. Mr. Adeosun is survived by his wife, his children, and his siblings, a group that includes Adewale Adeosun, the founder of Kuramo Capital.
