Gunmen Abduct Three Students in Ondo, Demand ₦15m Ransom
The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of three students from the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure, while working on a farm near the Akure Airport in the Oba-Ile area of Akure North Local Government.
The students, who were undergoing Industrial Training (IT) at the farm, were reportedly kidnapped on Saturday evening while returning home.
Speaking to newsmen, the state police command’s Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, stated that anti-kidnapping operatives had been deployed to the area to track down the perpetrators.
The Commander of the Amotekun Corps in the state, Adetunji Adeleye, also confirmed the incident, stating that his men, along with other security operatives, were combing the entire area in search of the victims.
Meanwhile, a family source revealed that the abductors had contacted the victims’ families, demanding a ransom of N15 million for their release.
