Although Newcastle has reportedly turned down an initial bid, there is an expectation that Arsenal will submit an improved offer to secure the Brazilian international. Newcastle’s hierarchy and Arsenal representatives remain engaged, with indications that the situation is progressing. Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal manager, has emphasized the club’s desire to heighten internal competition and bolster the squad following their successful season.
Guimaraes is currently participating in Newcastle’s scheduled pre-season training camp in Spain. Despite the intense transfer speculation, the midfielder has remained professional, joining his current team after an extended break following his World Cup duties.
