Fashion designer Veekee James has addressed online backlash regarding her frequent public appearances with her husband, Femi Atere. A social media user had previously suggested that Atere lacks an independent life due to his constant presence by his wife’s side.
In a video response, Veekee dismissed the criticism, emphasizing that their marriage is built on a foundation of shared experiences and partnership. She described their bond as inseparable, noting that they have intentionally integrated their lives. “His life is my life, the same way I don’t have a life of my own,” she explained, comparing their union to a lock and key.
The entrepreneur argued that those questioning their dynamic fail to understand the true nature of matrimony. She challenged skeptics to live differently in their own relationships while maintaining that she and Atere will continue to operate as a unit. Veekee concluded by vowing that the public will continue to see them together at events, playfully labeling her husband her “personal handbag.”
