The Abia State Police Command has formally denied reports that human hair was discovered within a ritual pot seized from a local barber. The suspect, identified as Emeka, was taken into custody last week following a formal complaint regarding a threat to life.
During a subsequent search of Emeka’s residence, authorities recovered a native pot along with several carved figurines and other items associated with traditional spiritual practices. DSP Maureen Chinaka, the state’s police spokesperson, clarified that rumors suggesting the presence of human hair are entirely false.
Emeka informed investigators that the carvings serve as representations of his ancestors, which he honors as part of his religious beliefs. DSP Chinaka criticized the spread of misinformation by online content creators seeking attention, reaffirming that the investigation remains active while urging the public to ignore unsubstantiated claims.
