The Nigeria Police Force is celebrating the impressive achievement of Corporal Ezekiel Nathaniel, who secured a gold medal in the men’s 400-meter hurdles at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. Competing on Friday evening, Nathaniel finished with a time of 48.47 seconds to take the top spot.
This win marks a significant improvement from his performance during the 2022 Birmingham Games, where he placed sixth. Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Aniete Iniedu, highlighted the athlete’s dedication and tactical focus as a reflection of the standards expected of police personnel.
Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Riliwan Disu praised the corporal for his excellence on the global stage. According to the Force leadership, this result stems from the ongoing commitment to the IGP’s Strategic Agenda regarding sports development and officer welfare.
