The Zamfara State judiciary recently conducted a training workshop tailored for magistrates, high court personnel, and other justice system partners. The event focused on the theme, “The Role of Stakeholders in the Administration of Justice in Zamfara State.”
Chief Judge Justice Kulu Aliyu opened the event by emphasizing that sufficient financial support is essential for the judiciary to fulfill its constitutional obligations. She expressed gratitude to Governor Dauda Lawal for providing the necessary funding for the training and for his ongoing commitment to improving the sector. Aliyu also highlighted the current infrastructure projects, including renovations at the High Court Complex and the development of new Magistrate Courts throughout the state.
Addressing the attendees, Justice Aliyu encouraged a collaborative exchange of knowledge and experience to help shape future justice policies. She noted that the collective input from participants would be vital for strengthening justice delivery within Zamfara and the broader Nigerian legal landscape.
Governor Dauda Lawal, represented by the Speaker of the Zamfara House of Assembly, Bilyaminu Moriki, inaugurated the proceedings and labeled the initiative as timely. The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to supporting the judiciary in its mission to uphold human rights and justice. He urged the participants to engage fully with the resource persons to maximize the benefits of the technical sessions.
