Jared Leto, the Academy Award-winning actor and lead singer of Thirty Seconds to Mars, has firmly refuted claims of sexual misconduct following a BBC documentary. The production, titled Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret, presents allegations from 10 women, four of whom report incidents occurring while they were minors.
These allegations span the years 2002 to 2016. Reported encounters include claims of assault in a motel, threats in a hotel, and statutory rape. One woman stated she was pressured to sign a non-disclosure agreement regarding an encounter that occurred when she was 16. The BBC indicated it verified aspects of these accounts through supplemental evidence like messages and witness statements.
Former band associates also noted that staff members felt uneasy regarding Leto’s behavior toward young fans. In a formal statement, the actor dismissed every accusation, labeling them entirely false. Leto has faced similar public allegations previously, including those from DJ Allie Teilz in 2025, which he also denied.
