The 36-year-old midfielder, who transferred from Ajax last summer, made 34 appearances during the 2025/26 season. Reports indicate he is currently in advanced negotiations to join Chelsea as a free agent.
The club leadership had previously assured Henderson they would not block a potential transfer to a top-tier side. Chelsea management views the veteran as an ideal candidate to bolster manager Xabi Alonso’s squad with his extensive experience.
