Soldiers from the 65 Battalion, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel S Adeojo, successfully neutralized an unauthorized oil bunkering location in the Orile district of Lagos. This action was confirmed in a public briefing by Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya, the Acting Deputy Director for Army Public Relations of the 81 Division.
Following reliable intelligence, military personnel conducted a raid that resulted in the capture of six people involved in illicit oil operations. The team seized four trucks, a pumping device, and various pipes and containers used for the illegal activity.
All detained suspects and confiscated materials were transferred to the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for subsequent legal processing. Major General Adebayo Abdulrahman Babalola, the General Officer Commanding 81 Division, praised the unit for their performance and urged them to continue fighting against economic crimes and criminal behavior in the region.
