Alongside this measure, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has prohibited the importation of power inverters. These components, vital for data centers and solar energy infrastructure, were flagged as potential threats to the American economy. FCC chairman Brendan Carr stated that these actions are necessary steps to protect critical supply chains within the country. While Chinese firms have aggressively developed robots for factory and domestic use—often outpacing domestic competitors like Tesla and Boston Dynamics—the Chinese embassy in Washington has not yet provided a comment regarding the new rules.
