Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has officially chosen Jerry Adams to be his running mate for the upcoming 2027 gubernatorial race. Adams currently serves as the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), a position he has held since 2023.
Hailing from Southern Kaduna, Adams was selected following extensive discussions. Governor Sani explained that the choice is rooted in his commitment to fairness, inclusion, and balanced representation throughout the state. He praised Adams for his background as a skilled public servant and tax expert, noting that his leadership at KADIRS has been instrumental in strengthening the state’s financial stability.
This transition occurs because the incumbent Deputy Governor, Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, is barred from pursuing a third consecutive term due to constitutional restrictions. Governor Sani emphasized that the selection of Adams reflects his administration’s ongoing dedication to competence and merit-based governance.
