Davido mocks MC Oluomo following Osun NURTW prohibition

Davido has publicly challenged NURTW president MC Oluomo after the latter rejected Governor Ademola Adeleke’s ban on union activities in Osun State.

Afrobeat artist Davido has ridiculed Musiliu Akinsanya, widely known as MC Oluomo, the national president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), for his public opposition to Governor Ademola Adeleke’s recent mandate in Osun State. Governor Adeleke, who is also Davido’s uncle, recently outlawed all NURTW operations across the state to curb illegal fee collection and restore order before the upcoming August 15, 2026, gubernatorial election.

MC Oluomo publicly dismissed the governor’s decree, claiming that the state government lacks the jurisdiction to regulate the union’s affairs. In response, Davido criticized the union leader on X, mocking his ability to speak properly. Following the initial exchange, the musician took to Instagram to challenge MC Oluomo regarding his alleged ties to political violence directed at the current administration. Davido pointedly questioned the union head about his participation in the regional political unrest, sarcastically suggesting that he examine himself in a mirror. Davido currently serves as the youth campaign lead for Governor Adeleke’s 2026 re-election bid.
