According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea believes they could secure a major financial windfall by selling Pedro Neto. The Portuguese winger moved to Stamford Bridge from Wolves two years ago for a fee surpassing £50 million.
Neto has struggled to find consistency during his time in London, largely due to frequent leadership changes and a crowded squad. Despite this, he showed promise under current manager Enzo Maresca, who now reportedly wants to bring the 26-year-old to Manchester City. Liverpool is also monitoring his status, while Saudi Arabian clubs remain interested.
Chelsea is not pushing for a transfer but anticipates they could earn a high profit if they choose to sell, citing the inflated market prices for elite wingers across Europe. Current transfer figures for players like Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola have climbed well past £100 million, while Chelsea’s own acquisition of Morgan Rogers set a new British record at £117 million.
Currently, Neto is absent from Chelsea’s Australian tour as he recovers from World Cup duties. Meanwhile, teammate Geovany Quenda is set to join the squad later in Asia following a minor injury, and striker Emmanuel Emegha is managing a hamstring setback sustained during a recent friendly match.
