A statement released this Sunday in Abuja by Ministry of Foreign Affairs representative Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa requested an instant cooling of hostilities. The government urged all factions to avoid moves that could spark violence or threaten the safety of non-combatants and regional stability.
Emphasis was placed on utilizing diplomacy, dialogue, and non-violent resolution methods consistent with international law and the United Nations Charter. Officials cautioned that a continued rise in aggression might damage the security of the broader region.
