Demola Olarenwaju, a key political assistant to Atiku Abubakar, asserts that his principal stands as the most investigated political figure in Nigeria throughout the period starting from 1999.
Addressing claims made on social media, Olarenwaju pointed out that although Atiku has frequently contested against every administration over the past two decades, none of those presidents have successfully filed legal charges against him. In contrast, it is often Atiku who initiates legal action against the government and secures favorable rulings.
This defense followed commentary suggesting that if legitimate evidence of wrongdoing existed, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission would have surely pursued him. Olarenwaju emphasized that Atiku’s history of standing up to power reflects his boldness and the lack of substantive evidence against him.
