Osun APC Leader Urges INEC to Simplify PVC Collection Ahead of Governorship Poll

APC chieftain Olatunbosun Oyintiloye has called on INEC to streamline the PVC collection process in Osun and encouraged residents to vote despite logistical hurdles.

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a key figure in the Osun All Progressives Congress, has requested that the Independent National Electoral Commission improve its Permanent Voter Card distribution system before the upcoming gubernatorial election. Speaking to reporters in Osogbo, the former legislator stated that the current requirements have caused significant challenges for citizens attempting to obtain their cards.

Oyintiloye encouraged residents to persist with the collection process despite these difficulties, emphasizing the importance of participating in the democratic process. He dismissed concerns regarding voter intimidation, asserting that no group should be permitted to disrupt the election or frighten potential voters. Furthermore, he called upon law enforcement agencies to maintain order and hold anyone involved in electoral misconduct accountable.

Addressing the political climate, Oyintiloye remains confident that APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji will win the election. He cited positive feedback from residents as evidence of the candidate’s growing popularity, asserting that the party is well-positioned for a successful result.
